Rennos Fragkoudis

Originally from Greece; my first contact with photography was at a very early age when my father gave me a Polaroid camera as a birthday present. Since then I developed an affinity for the Great Outdoors and in particular the seaside (as you will find out through my images I love being next to the water). Fast forward to the present day and the digital era I am finding myself in Scotland; one of the best places to be a landscape photographer. Armed with my dSLR (and of course good waterproofs to avoid the - lets say unpredictable - British weather) I am trying to capture the spectacular beauty of the landscape. Managing to obtain the perfect shot? Sometimes! But it doesn't matter, I was there to cherish the moment...

 

After all these years, I still can't help but stand in awe and watch the sun coming up or going down, the tides moving in and out and the clouds crossing the skies.

And to borrow the words of the great J. R. R. Tolkien: "Still round the corner there may wait, A new road or a secret gate."

 

The best landscape is still out there; you just have to go and capture it.
